The City of Frankfurt is proud to host Sibos 2025 and looks forward to welcoming guests from all over the world for this important event. Thanks to its central location, excellent traffic and transport connections and wide range of modern congress and conference venues, Frankfurt offers the perfect conditions for business meetings and special events of every size and variety. The city’s international flair and urban vibrancy enable Sibos visitors to work and collaborate successfully within a highly professional, cosmopolitan environment.

Arrival in Frankfurt

By airplane

As Germany’s premier aviation hub, Frankfurt Airport connects the metropolis on the River Main with more than 300 international destinations spread out across nearly 100 countries. All of Europe’s major cities are less than a three-hour flight away.

By train

With more than 1,200 trains arriving and departing every single day, Frankfurt Main Train Station is one of Germany’s busiest long-distance railway hubs. Aside from countless regional and national routes, Frankfurt Main Train Station also offers passengers numerous pan-European direct connections, making your arrival and departure by rail both quick and easy.

By car

Thanks to its excellent connections to Germany’s national autobahn network, Frankfurt is also quickly and easily accessible by car. What’s more, Frankfurt’s well-developed inner-city roads network and modern parking pilot system make arriving in the city centre comfortable and hassle-free.

From Frankfurt Airport to the City Centre

Public Transport

The well-signposted regional train station is located in Terminal 1 on Level 0. From there, S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 depart from Platform 1 every 15 minutes, taking you directly to Frankfurt Main Train Station in about 15 minutes. Additionally, the RE2 and RE3 regional train lines provide further connections to the city.

Uber

The pick-up and drop-off area for Uber rides at Frankfurt Airport is located at the short-term parking lot P31 on the departure level of Terminal 1. Please book your ride in advance via the Uber app or website.

Taxi

At Frankfurt Airport, the official taxi ranks are located directly in front of the exits on the arrivals level of both terminals. Payment methods include cash payment and, in most taxis, also card payment.

Getting around in the metropolis on the River Main

Via public transport

Once you’ve arrived in Frankfurt, you’ll find the extensive network of the Rhine-Main Transport Association (RMV) at your disposal. This regional public transport system makes it super-easy to get around in Frankfurt and the surrounding Rhine-Main region.

By bicycle

As a very bicycle-friendly city, Frankfurt has a well-developed network of cycling paths and bike parking spaces, as well as numerous public bicycle rental schemes, which enable you to get to your destination quickly and safely.

On foot

Frankfurt is known to be a city of short distances. The city centre is most easily traversed on foot, whether you’re heading from your hotel to your conference venue, or – at the conclusion of your business day – from your meeting to the restaurant of your choice.

👉 To make your travel in Frankfurt convenient, the Frankfurt Convention Bureau is providing a free public transport pass and an exclusive Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour voucher for all Sibos participants. You can find more information in the Sibos app. 👈

Pharmacies

Unlike to many other countries, pharmacies in Germany are visually marked with a red “A” depicted in old-style German script rather than the traditional green cross. These days, however, the “A” is being supplemented more and more by the more international green pharmacy cross.
